Welcome to my little corner of the internet

My name is Kim Vardal, and I am a self-taught visual artist and illustrator. My return to art began at a time when I needed to find myself again—after suddenly becoming unemployed while also having just become a mother.

What had once brought me so much joy in life, namely art, found its way back to me after a six-year-long pause.

My work is abstract, sharp, and colorful. It is the closest I come to expressing my inner restlessness—a constant shift between letting go while at the same time creating structure and order within the unknown.

All of this takes place in a basement in a house from the 1940s, where one room has been dedicated to this visual journey and deep immersion.

Art has always been my steady companion through every stage of life, and now I am giving it the time and attention it needs to truly grow, as we find our way back to each other once again.
